About

As a contract turkey grower and farmer for Butterball, Jackson’s agricultural roots span generations and his concern for the future of agriculture is immediately evident. In 2019, Jackson grew the turkeys that President Donald Trump officially pardoned at the White House. “Agriculture is the lifeblood of this district and is a crucial part of the North Carolina economy, but it is under attack like never before. Farmers are faced with higher input costs, attacks from special interests, and the looming threat of international trade. Sampson and Bladen counties cannot afford to lose a voice for agriculture in Raleigh.” For over 20 years, Jackson has been a volunteer fireman at Halls Fire Department in Keener. He understands the challenges for law enforcement and emergency services. Additionally, Jackson advocates for the educational challenges in North Carolina. “I don’t pretend to be a politician… I’m going to help the people that live, farm, and raise their families in these counties. I came back here to raise my family and I hope that my work will allow my children and yours to do the same if they wish.”
