The mission of the Sampson County Department of Social Services is to enhance the quality of life in our community through various programs that target the vulnerable, the aged, the sick, the poor, and the young. The agency’s goal is to help our citizens become self-supporting and self-sufficient; to prevent or correct abuse, neglect, and exploitation; to avoid institutional care when possible; and to secure institutional care when appropriate.
