The Sampson County Health Department is dedicated to ensuring that each man, woman and child who resides in Sampson County has the best possible health status. Public health serves each of us every minute of every day.The Environmental Health Department is located in the County Complex in Building “B”. Our main objective is to promote human health and protect the environment through the practice of rules, public information and/or education and dedication to serving the citizens of Sampson County. This section is comprised of various areas which includes Food Protection/Institutions, Children’s Environmental Health, On-site Wastewater & Wells, and Private Water Supplies. All of these are enforced to assure a standard quality of life for all we serve.
